Daniel Luther portraying
"The Tennessee Tailor"
Andrew Johnson Bicentennial
James-Ben Studio & Gallery Art Center is at the front of the parade celebrating the bicentennial of Greeneville's most famous citizen, President Andrew Johnson. From art commemorating our nation's 17th president to live portrayals, we are your bicentennial center.
Gallery partner Daniel Luther has received glowing reviews for his portrayal of Andrew Johnson, some saying that he looks and sounds surprisingly like the 17th president, who was noted for his oratorical ability. Luther spent the last year researching and writing his monologue, "Tennessee Tailor," compiled from Johnson's speeches and letters. The one-man-show was conceived and directed by James-Ben Stockton.
