The Greeneville Christmas Parade grew by nearly 40 entries this year as the community came together Sunday afternoon to celebrate the holiday season.
A crowd of thousands watched a variety of 182 entries march, walk and ride along the parade route in temperatures near 60 degrees.

The theme of the parade this year was "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas." To match that theme, many entries were decorated with or carried familiar sights of the season, including tinsel and lights, snow and pine trees, packages and bows, and popular Christmas characters like "The Grinch."

The grand marshal was Andrew Johnson as portrayed by Daniel Luther, who rode in a convertible. Luther is a park guide at the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site who enjoys portraying historic personalities.
